I visited Cameo Island on a breezy June evening. I could see a lot of clouds moving in as it got dark and hoped it would clear later, as it often does when the sky chills down overnight.
Apart from the weather, the other main challenge was the light pollution. I hope that astrophotography will eventually be possible in so many locations if more town councils considered the improvements they could make to their tourism by replacing street lights when required with low lumen LEDs fitted with a downward reflector.
The clouds did clear but I decided to retain them from the foreground composite as I thought they added another interesting dimension.
